Literature Text

You can run and you can hide
But don't think you can do the same with your lies
There on the table, out for all to see
Truth has been illuminated not just to me
You can pull the wool over the eyes
Of those you say you don't despise
Too bad, you can't do the same with yourself

Do you hate yourself when you look into the mirror?
How can you like the monster that stares back?
You were a demon with the mask of an angel
And when the mask comes off we will all see
Just how hideous you must really be
Poetry, as always, speaks for itself

Now I just need to get around to naming my story so I can put the first chapter up...

It is a good start, but I feel as though I missed something in the middle. You know the truth about them and I see a woman with a mask you'd see at a ball, and she's placing it on the table. Then I see a crowd just suddenly appear around her and how she's transforming... But I don't know your relation to her, or how this impacts you. It makes it hard to connect to the words in any profound way for me.
